And he didn’t check his old reviews to see if it made sense for him to like it.

The movie opens in the Chicago suburbs with a houseful of people on the eve of a big family Christmas vacation in Paris. There are relatives and kids everywhere, and when the family oversleeps and has to race to the airport, Kevin is somehow overlooked in the shuffle. Eight-year-old Alex Pruitt is given the remote control car by Mrs. Hess for shoveling her driveway. He returns home and discovers that he has chickenpox and must stay out of school. The next day, Alex discovers the thieves while spying on his neighbors.
Granted, there aren't many movies where Arnold Schwarzenegger gets pregnant. Nevertheless, Junior finds a way to take an extremely ludicrous premise and turn it into something that's... While I've, admittedly, got a bit of a soft spot for it, Junior didn't reach its potential. Despite Schwarzenegger's commitment, along with another fun turn from Danny DeVito as his maternal doctor, Junior is, frankly, oddly dull.
Home Alone 3 steers clear of the mistakes of the previous films, and makes all new ones. Whereas 2 went too dark and violent, 3 goes too cartoonish and slapstick. Where the first film thought small, with just a pair of common burglars, 3 goes big, with a team of international terrorists. Still, the film's beginning shows some cleverness in setting up a new, original home alone situation, but it quickly devolves into garbage. The main problem with Home Alone 3 is that it's so pacified that it doesn't have the darkness or edginess needed to believe that these are real characters, or that this situation is dangerous. The thieves finally deduce that Alex has been watching them and decide to break into his house.
Culkin, however, quit acting, so for the third movie in the series, the studio decided to essentially reboot. New kid, new family, but a situation similar to that in the original film, only the stakes were substantially higher. The lead, Alex Pruitt, was left home alone and had to defend himself and his home against a North Korean terrorist group who wanted a microchip inside of a remote control car that had come into Alex’s possession.
Once again, Kevin's forgetful family leaves home without him , and once again they fret while he deals effortlessly with the world. He checks into the Plaza Hotel on his dad's credit card and has time for heartwarming conversations with a kindly old toy shop owner and a homeless bird lover , not to mention Donald Trump, before running into his old enemies, the crooks . When he discovers they plan to rob the toy store, whose receipts are destined for a children's hospital, he knows he has his work cut out for him.

After all, as this article will hopefully prove, there's a movie out there for everyone, even if no one else appreciates it. Forewarned and forearmed as I was, why did I actually like “Home Alone 3”? It was partly because of little Alex Linz, who has a genuinely sweet smile on his face as he watches his traps demolish the bad guys. I don't know if he'll have a career like his predecessor, Macaulay Culkin , but he has the same glint in his eye. A spy ring has stolen a computer chip, and because of an exchange of identical bags at the San Francisco airport, the toy truck containing the chip has ended up at Mrs. Hess' house. Four spies fly to Chicago on the same plane with Mrs. Hess and have four hours on board to search for the bag, but somehow they fail to find it and end up deciding to burglarize every house on little Alex's block. Gave the film a positive review of 3 out of 4 stars and said that he found it to be "fresh, very funny, and better than the first two".

The way he and Pam refer to “the cloud” as the reason he is out of work is probably the movie’s best joke. In 1990, a warm-hearted slapstick film called “Home Alone” was a surprise blockbuster hit, breaking the record for the highest-grossing live-action comedy, nominated for a Golden Globe, and followed by three sequels. This quasi-remake, “Home Sweet Home Alone,” keeps the basic storyline about a child accidentally left behind who defends his home from would-be burglars with complicated contraptions. It even includes an actor from the original, and a child slapping his cheeks in astonishment, the original’s iconic image. But it misses the key elements that made both the slapstick and the sentiment of the 1990 version appealing.
